Hola Mis Amigos y Familia! I hope everyone is doing fantastic!

Monday was Lucrezia's Baptismal interview with President Ward and it lasted an hour
and a half! Afterwards though President Ward let Elder Colton and I know she isn't
ready for baptism yet. It was super sad but we will still be teaching her and she is still
interested so that's good. Also, while we were waiting during the interview, Sister Ward
was sitting with us and she got a call from her father!!!! And if you don't know, her father
is Dallin H. Oaks!!! Elder Colton and I just started going crazy and telling her to tell him
hi for us. It was pretty neat.

Wednesday, we met with Darlene and went over the Baptismal interview questions. The
room was just filled with the Spirit and she bore such an awesome testimony to us.
Darlene is seriously so awesome and just so sincere. She is just so happy and excited
about the gospel and it is such a wonderful thing to be a part of. We also had some
great visits with Sister Betancé and Rachel Russo that night. As well, we had a visit with
a referral Elder Dixon and I sent to some Elders in the Santa Rosa mission, but she was
in Roseville so we met with her and we helped her a ton! Wednesday was a great day.
Thursday was Zone Conference and it was all about being a representative of Jesus
Christ. It was so great and the Spirit was so strong there! It made me truly think about
what I am doing and how I am supposed to be. It was super beneficial for me. Also, it
was great seeing all my MTC pals and other missionary friends:)

Friday we had an interesting experience where we knocked on a door and we heard the
lady inside say, "Kevin! Get the door! I can't get it because I'm getting surrounded so If I get up I will die!" So yeah, I guess the lesson learned is don't interrupt this lady's video game time. haha

Saturday we had some awesome lessons with Michelle, Darlene and Mike Williams so
that is always great! Sunday, we had such an awesome lesson with Sister Betancé!
Elder Colton asked her what she believes about the Restoration and she said in tears, "I
know that it is true!  As much as I try to deny it, I can't." The Spirit was so powerful and it was one of the most spiritual experiences I have had so far. We also had dinner that
evening with one of the family's we are teaching so that was great.

Anyways, I love each and every one of you dearly and appreciate all the support. I hope
you all have a fantastic week <3

Hello friends and family! Sorry for not writing last week. But sometimes it is just hard to
build up the motivation to type ha-ha but I still love you all!

Anyways, so last week (meaning like 2 weeks ago) here's what happened:
Tuesday we had an alright lesson with Peter. We tried doing an object lesson about
prophets using an egg, salt and water, but it failed quite miserably! We put the salt in the
water and the egg just ended up sinking to the bottom. It was actually a pretty good laugh.
On Wednesday, we had a pretty sweet District Meeting where we played a game so that
was kind of weird. We also had an awesome lesson with Darlene!

At first, Darlene was kind of flakey, but now she is just so awesome and is just on fire!!!!
We also had a great lesson with Michelle and she asked us "So when am I going to get a
calling?" Which was pretty sweet to hear. On Saturday, we helped a less active lady move
some sand and bark around her backyard and it was pretty fun I would say! We also had a
couple good lessons with Darlene and this guy named Emilio, who Elder Dixon and I found
tracting.

But that night we had such an awesome, spiritual lesson! We met with this family kind of
on accident. We were walking in an apartment complex and we stopped to ask this lady if
she knew where we could find a certain apartment number, she pointed us there and then
asked us, "Are you the Mormon missionaries?" We said yes and continued talking with her.

She told us that her husband was a returned missionary and she used to meet with
missionaries and they had been talking about coming back to church!!! So, we finally met
with Rachel and her husband Nick. We had such a great experience. We talked with Nick
about his mission and then proceeded to read 3 Nephi 11. We asked her what she felt after
reading it and she told us, "I think I need to be baptized!" Both Elder Colton and I were just filled with such excitement and joy! After that we came home and said a prayer of gratitude
to be able to find someone who was so prepared for the restored gospel!

Well this week was also a fine one! Here's a quick synopsis of it all! We had a good lesson with Lucrezia on Monday going over the baptismal interview questions but the best part of that whole lesson was as Lucrezia got out of her chair, she then farted! It was seriously the funniest thing I think I have witnessed! She told us that no one better know about it, but I thought that what she doesn't know won't hurt her. HAHA!

Wednesday, we had 2 great lessons with Darlene and Michelle! It has been dumping rain a
couple of days this past week so getting out was a little challenging but we did what we
could. On Thursday I lost my tag, so on Friday we went looking for it and we had searched
everywhere and when we thought that it was forever lost, I checked a secret pocket in my
bag and it was in there......Typical me…HAHA!

We then had exchanges on Saturday and I was with Elder Griffin! It was weird because
they have a car and Elder Griffin can't drive so I had to drive! And I hadn't driven since I
have been on my mission so it was kind of sketchy but it all came back to me pretty
quickly. We had a visit with one of his investigators named Amanuel Tesfai. He is straight
out of Africa and he made us some Tilot, which is Cow liver, intestine, heart and some
other innards. I was very scared to eat it but it actually ended up being pretty good!

Anyways the mission is great! I love you all and miss you dearly!
